Effective date: August 3rd , 2026 Last updated: August 3rd 2026
Haurs ("Haurs," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our services, and your interactions with us as a member, an employer partner, a service provider, or a visitor.
Please read this policy carefully. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. We collect information you give us directly, such as when you become a member, request a consultation, sign up for an event, apply to become a service provider, contact us, or otherwise use our services. This may include your name, email address, mailing or service address, phone number, employer or business details, service requests and preferences, and communications you send to us.
Payment information. When you purchase a membership or pay for services, your payment is processed by a secure third-party payment provider. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our own systems. We may retain limited transaction records, such as the date, amount, and confirmation of payment.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, certain information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and general usage data. Our website is hosted on a third-party platform that may collect this information to operate and improve the site.
Information from service delivery. In the course of coordinating and overseeing services — including through Haurs Live — we may collect information related to scheduled visits, service details, and related communications, as described further in Section 4.
2. We use the information we collect to:
-
provide, coordinate, and oversee the services you request;
-
process memberships, payments, and event registrations;
-
communicate with you about your account, services, scheduling, and requests;
-
match you with appropriate vetted service providers;
-
operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
-
send you updates, offers, and information about Haurs, where permitted;
-
protect the safety, rights, and property of our members, providers, team, and company; and
-
comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our business, including with:
-
Service providers and partners we coordinate on your behalf, limited to what is necessary to perform the requested service;
-
Payment processors and other technology providers that support our operations (such as our website host, scheduling, and communication tools);
-
Professional advisors, such as accountants and attorneys, where reasonably necessary; and
-
Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
We require the third parties we work with to handle your information responsibly and only for the purposes for which it is shared.
4. Haurs Live and Service Oversight
Haurs Live allows a Haurs household manager to oversee a service visit at your property in real time using a dedicated mobile device. This feature is provided only with your consent and under a separate agreement that describes how it works.
Any monitoring performed through Haurs Live is used solely to supervise the requested service and confirm it is completed to standard. We handle information gathered in connection with Haurs Live in accordance with that separate agreement and this Privacy Policy. You will always be informed of how Haurs Live operates before it is used in your home, and nothing takes place without your approval.
5. Payment Processing
Payments are handled by trusted third-party payment providers that maintain their own security standards and privacy practices. Your use of those services may also be subject to the payment provider's terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can usually adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies, though some features of the site may not function properly as a result.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain our business records, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain uses. Residents of Virginia and other states with applicable privacy laws may have specific rights under those laws.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about your information, please contact us using the details in Section 13. You may also unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link provided in those messages.
10. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated through our website or by other means.
